Investigators: 3rd dine-and-dash suspect arrested while shoplifting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators say the third suspect in a dine-at-dash at a Monkey Junction restaurant was arrested last night while allegedly committing another crime.

New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Jerry Brewer says Wilmington Police arrested Jennifer Cain, 37, after responding to a report of a shoplifter at Walmart on Sigmon Road. He says when they arrested her they found she had outstanding warrants from New Hanover County, where she’s accused of being one of three people who ran up a $115 tab at Buffalo Wild Wings and paying with a false credit card before leaving.

According to the New Hanover County Jail Cain is charged with obtaining property by false pretense, identity theft and defrauding an innkeeper. She was released from jail last night on $2,500 bond.

Deputies arrested two other suspects for the Buffalo Wild Wing incident yesterday.
