Investigators looking for suspects after clerk assaulted during armed robbery

CALABASH, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for your help to find two men they say robbed a gas station in Calabash.

Investigators say just before 9:30 p.m. Monday the suspects described as two black men wearing ski masks,entered the Citgo Gas Station on Beach Drive. They say one of the one of the suspects had a handgun.

Deputies say the suspects got away with cash and the clerk’s purse. According to a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, the clerk was assaulted during the incident and treated for minor injuries.

They say the suspects ran away towards the direction of South Carolina.
