Irma forces cancellations in and out of ILM Airport
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Tropical Storm Irma is impacting flights in and out of Wilmington International Airport.
All departures starting at 4:05 this afternoon are cancelled. Several arrivals have also been cancelled.
ILM Deputy Director Gary Broughton says it is because of high winds in Charlotte and Atlanta and not because of any weather issues in Wilmington.
Broughton says flights tomorrow morning could be impacted as well if flights scheduled to arrive tonight don’t make it in.
