IRS extends hybrid incentives

New from the IRS: the government is extending a tax incentive to purchase certain Ford hybrid vehicles.

Included in the extension are hybrid models of recent year Ford Escapes and Mercury Mariners.

The tax credit is phased out once a manufacturer sells more than 60,000 qualifying vehicles. Last quarter sales show ford hasn’t hit that mark yet, so the credit has been extended.
