Isaiah Washington mulls StarNews reporter’s offer to watch ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ return

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One of the cool things about social media is the ability to connect with just about anyone, including your favorite stars.

StarNews reporter Ashley Withers found that out this morning, when she tweeted actor Isaiah Washington, who is in Wilmington to start filming the movie “The Sin Seer” this week. Thursday, Washington makes his return to “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC and WWAY. He left the show in 2007. Withers asked Washington to get together and watch.

A little while later, Washington replied:

@ashleywithers If you can get the local news team to come to your house and film us, it could be a plan hon.

That’s when Withers decided to take advantage of the partnership between the StarNews and WWAY:

We are now waiting to hear back from Washington about whether he will make it happen.
