WILMINGTON LANEY (18-8) vs. EAST FORSYTH (22-8)

Game 1: Friday, June 4 at 8 p.m.
Game 2: Saturday, June 5 at 2 pm
Game 3: if necessary, Saturday, June 5 at 8 pm (5 pm if no third game in 2-A)

The Laney Bucs are thrilled to be playing in the 4-A baseball state championship series this weekend, especially when you consider their slow start to the season. Through April Laney sported a 10-8 record, but the month of May has been sensational for the Bucs. They’re headed to Raleigh to play East Forsyth. The winner of the best of 3 series will be crowned state champion.
