It can be tricky, but finding the right costume is a treat

From spooky to sweet no Halloween is complete without the perfect costume, and with the big day nearly here, time is running out.

“Well this week we’ve got people coming in all week long. We’re very very busy, but it’s very exciting. We’ve got the kids coming in after school and their stuff,” said costume expert Mark Gustafson of Halloween and More.

At Halloween and More in Wilmington, there’s no shortage of fun ideas for young and old; in fact just walking in the door, it’s easy to find inspiration.

“It just came to me,” said UNCW student David Bruce. “I was going to be Spiderman initially, but I was looking around and saw a Michael Jackson costume, so I basically just had to have it.”

The King of Pop costume is one of this year’s best sellers so far. The other favorites are a little more traditional, things like pirates, vampires, and superheroes.

In the end the holiday’s really for the little ones. Gustafson said, “It’s really exciting to see them trying of the different masks, and trying to scare their parents. That’s fun.”

For those who get a costume craving throughout the year, Halloween and More is open year round.
