Police identify Jacksonville marine in downtown Wilmington fatal shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating a shooting that killed a 27-year-old Jacksonville man over the weekend in downtown Wilmington.

Wilmington Police say Edwin Estrada was killed. He was a US Marine.

Police responded to the 200 block of North Front Street around 6:15 a.m. Sunday where the victim was found to have sustained fatal gunshot wounds.

Police say this is an isolated incident.
