Judge decides on Hard Rock Park bankruptcy

A bankruptcy judge in Delaware said Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach can borrow $1,000,000 to pay workers. This comes after the park’s owner filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month.

Attendance at the $400,000,000 park fell far below expectations but it hopes to re-open in 2009.

Judge Kevin Carey said the park can pay certain expenses, like wages and payroll-related costs of up to $247,000. Carey also said the park could decide what to do about honoring, voiding or refunding annual pass holders.
