The historic 23rd Annual Beach Music Festival, sponsored by WWAY News Channel 3, was held on Saturday, June 7 in Carolina Beach.

People of all ages came out to enjoy a full day of live entertainment with the hottest beach music bands in the South. The dedicated stuck around for the Shag Contest that carried on late into the evening.

WWAY’s Chief Meteorologist Chris Phillips was a guest MC for the folks shaggin’ on the boardwalk, or cooling off under the sprinklers. Your community. Your station. WWAY News Channel 3. Live, Local and Interactive!
