Juvenile charged, victim in ICU after Leland shooting

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Police are investigating a shooting that happened near the Walgreens on Village Road Sunday night.

Police say they responded to 113 Old Fayetteville Road around 7:30 p.m. According to the police department’s online blotter, two juveniles were involved in a shooting.

Police say a juvenile is custody and that the victim is in ICU at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Police say their investigation continues.
