Ladies only in this year’s Landfall Tradition
For seven years, the Landfall Tradition Golf Tournament has given UNCW’s golf teams a home course advantage early in the season. But the eighth addition is just for the ladies.
For the first time, the field for the tournament will feature only women’s teams from across the country. The championship caliber field this weekend is a preview of the NCAA women’s golf championship that will also be played at the Country Club of Landfall this spring.
UNCW’s coach said it is amazing to have a home tournament on such a nice course. “It’s an amazing opportunity not only for our women’s golf team, but also for us to showcase the best collegiate golfers in the country to the city of Wilmington,” Cindy Ho said.
The Landfall Tradition tees off Friday morning at Landfall’s Dye Course and runs through Sunday. Admission is free.
