Lake Waccamaw water outage affecting some customers
LAKE WACCAMAW, NC (WWAY) — Some Lake Waccamaw Water System customers in Columbus County might be experiencing low pressure and outages.
According to the Town of Lake Waccamaw, there is a leaking water main along Lake Shore Drive.
Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
The Division of Water Resources says when the water is restored, customers must boil all water used for human consumption or use bottled water.
Water should be boiled for one minute.
This advisory is issued from the intersection of 506 Lake Shore Dr. and continues to the corner of Pecan Lane.
This advisory also includes all of Sutton Place, McRae Woods, the Columbia Ave. area, Robeson Ave. and all of Arena Dr.
