Largest model railroad set-up in Wilmington on display

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Train and model railroad enthusiasts who want an escape this weekend might want to check out the largest model railroad ever assembled in Wilmington.

The railroad has close too 100 different scenes for 12 operating trains connected with more than 1,400 feet of track.

The display is located at the First Baptist Church Activity Center on Independence Blvd. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
