Latest gear on display at Fort Bragg show

FORT BRAGG — The latest weapons and other battle gear for the modern soldier will be displayed this week at Fort Bragg as part of a road show put on by the Army.

The U.S. Army Force Modernization Road Show will be at the post Thursday and Friday.

Gear in the show includes battlefield clothing, survival gear, night vision devices, sights for weapons and weapons.

Weapons will include a lightweight .50-caliber machine gun and a titanium medium machine gun as well as a new sniper rifle. Clothing includes new body armor and fireproof coveralls.
