Leaders of community discuss the future at power breakfast
The future of our area was the topic of conversation this morning in downtown Wilmington.
A panel of local government and business leaders sat down for a power breakfast hosted by the Greater Wilmington Business Journal.
It was an opportunity for members of the business community to voice their concerns and hear about the future of our area. The panel addressed improving the local job market, housing costs and area education.
“We have got to make sure that we have the right jobs for them. We’ve got to make sure we have places for them to live, the right health care and the education for their children,” said Carolyn Justice, a North Carolina representative from the 16th district.
Representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, UNCW and New Hanover Regional Medical Center were all on hand to answer questions.
