Lejeune police officer charged in deadly dog shooting
JONES COUNTY, NC (WCTI) — The Jones County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with killing two dogs in the Croatan National Forest.
Jeremy Ryan Edge is charged with two counts of felony cruelty to animals two counts of misdemeanor larceny, two counts of misdemeanor injury to personal property and two counts of misdemeanor removal of an electronic tracking collar.
Edge is set to appear in court Tuesday. Officers said Edge admitted to killing the two hunting dogs. Officers said Edge is currently serving as Military Police aboard Camp Lejeune.
