Lejeune Marine arrested in Jacksonville shooting

A Camp Lejeune Marine is in jail charged with a weekend shooting in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Police arrested 28-year-old Sgt. Michael S. Haridat for a shooting early Sunday morning outside of Las Maracas restaurant on Lejeune Boulevard. Witnesses say a fight between two groups led to three people being shot. Haridat, a rifleman and veteran of the war in Iraq, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury for shooting one of the victims.

Haridat is in the Onslow County Jail under a $60,000 secured bond.
