Leland couple arrested on child abuse charges

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a couple accused of child abuse.

According to a BCSO spokeswoman, Alexander Austin Dean, 26, and Kellie Earle Hill, 24, are wanted on charges on misdemeanor child abuse. Dean is wanted on three counts, while Hill is wanted on six counts. Deputies said the offenses happened between March 11 and last Wednesday with three victims.

According to arrest warrants, the victims suffered bruising on areas of the body including arms, wrists, legs and backs.
