Victim in grocery store robbery not pressing charges, police say

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Police said the man who was robbed in a grocery store is not helping them find the robber.

A Leland Police spokesman said the incident happened this afternoon at the store off of Mt. Misery Road on Reed Road. He said someone was robbed inside the store but did not say whether the robber was armed.

The spokesman said the victim told officers he knew the robber and would not provide any information that would help officers make an arrest. Police said there was no video to help them in the investigation as well.
