Leland Police make arrests in school vandalism


LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Three juvenile males have been arrested in connection with school vandalism in Brunswick County.

According to Leland Police, four suspects vandalized North Brunswick High School and Leland Middle School around 3:30 a.m. Monday. Officials say several buildings, sidewalks and eleven buses were spray-painted at the high school. A sign was sprayed at the middle school, but there was no other damage reported.

Detectives say they identified and arrested three juvenile males and are searching for a fourth in the case. Detectives estimate the cost of the damage is between $15,000 to $20,000.
