Leland approves a $200,000 budget for water board

Leland is one step closer to taking over water distribution for its residents.

Thursday night, the town approved a nearly $200,000 budget for a water board. Leland does not currently have one. The North Brunswick Sanitation District currently provides water to Leland residents.

It is hoped that if the town takes over water distribution, it will have more control over customer service. The turn over is set to happen before the first of the year.
