Lennon Lacy’s mom pleads for tips
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina NAACP held a community meeting on Wednesday and discussed updates in the FBI investigation of a Bladenboro teen’s death.
Lennon Lacy, 17, was found hanging from a wooden swing set in the middle of a trailer park in Bladenboro in late August 2014.
Dozens of people packed into the Bladenboro Church to hear what new information, if any, had been brought to light since the FBI took over this investigation in December.
Tonight, though there was no new information, folks with the North Carolina NAACP posed new theories about what may have happened.
Including one, where they suggest a man threatened to kill and hang Lacy in the months before his death.
We asked Lacy’s mother whether she believed any of these new theories. She said she believed all of them, and would until she knew what happened to her son. She pleaded for the communities help.
“It may not be but a little bit but it will help get to closure for me,” said Claudia Lacy.
The NAACP also announced a reward for tips, a fund they started just today. They’ve raised, so far, $250.
