Let your kids skate while you shop
Waiting for a lake to freeze in Wilmington is pretty much pointless. Lucky for us, we have the Wilmington Ice House.
Kids of all ages are spending part of their holiday break gliding across the ice rink in Ogden with their friends. The Ice House is open for public skate and private lessons, where kids learn how do tricks like the pros.
Skater Lucy Watson Cook said, “I have a lot of fun learning the new tricks and just learning how to do different stuff.”
“I just like to get out there and skate with my pals,” said Alexis Mearns.
Eva Barri added, “It just helps me motivate myself and gets me in that great spiritual feeling, it’s really fun.”
Thursday is the Drop ‘n Shop at the Ice House, where parents can drop their kids off and do some last minute holiday shopping.
It costs $15 and lasts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
