Lightning strike may have caused house fire

WILMINGTON, NC – WFD crews are on the scene of a two story residential structure fire at 309 Brookshire Lane. The fire has been brought under control without any injuries.

The fire was primarily an attic fire that appears may have started from a lightning strike even though the official cause has yet to be determined.
