Local basketball standout Saniya Rivers throws first pitch at Sharks baseball game

WILMINGTON (WWAY) — Ashley High School basketball standout and Gatorade National Girls Basketball player of the year, Saniya Rivers, got to try her hand at baseball.

Rivers was given the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Wilmington Sharks baseball game Thursday evening.

After the pitch, Saniya stayed to sign autographs and to chat up some college basketball.
