Local fire crews collecting supplies for western NC firefighters
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – As the wildfires rage on in the western part of the state. Crews across our area are continuing to pitch in and help.
As we told you yesterday, firefighters from different departments across southeastern North Carolina have responded to help in the fight.
Now, they need donations to take with them.
Oak Island’s Fire Chief says firefighters in western North Carolina currently need supplies.
Here’s a list of what you can donate.
- AA and AAA batteries
- bandanas
- moleskin
- duck tape
- boot socks
- boot laces
- hot hands
- wipes
- foot powder
- hand sanitizer
- body wash
- razors
- soap
- deodorant
- mouth wash
- eye drops
- over the counter allergy meds
- nasal spray
- ibuprofen and advil (big need)
You can dop off items at the Brunswick County Emergency Operations Center , Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department and Oak Island Fire Department Station 2. The items will be loaded and delivered Saturday morning.
