Local pastry chef offers tips to make a quick holiday dessert at home

CAPE FEAR (WWAY)— If you’re scrambling for a last-minute Thanksgiving dessert, we have a sweet solution that is quick, easy, and guaranteed to impress. Chef Melodee Troy of Sweet Melodee’s Simply Diving Desserts suggests the no-bake pumpkin cream cheese pie.

She says it’s very easy to make, and you will be a holiday hero for sure. “At Thanksgiving, your oven is always full of turkey, macaroni and cheese, and green bean casserole. Let’s just forget about putting dessert in the oven and just make something quickly,” she said.
