Local artists on display at Art for the Masses

Art lovers turned out in full force in Wilmington Saturday to get their hands on one of a kind artwork.

Thousands braved the cold for the chance to see more than 250 area artists display their work at Art for the Masses.

All the original artwork was priced at $250 or less.

Art for the Masses is geared toward helping local artists to reach a wider audience.

Creative Wilmington executive director Matthew Dols said, “Everybody likes a good, affordable piece of artwork. It’s right before the holiday season, it’s great shopping to buy a nice personal gift for someone else.”

More than five thousand were expected to show up for the one day only affair.
