Local fire departments to receive funds

U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced more federal funding today for the Sunset Beach and New Hanover County fire departments.

Sunset Beach will receive $40,000 and New Hanover County will receive $61,000. McIntyre said the funds will be used for operations and safety improvements.
