Local golfers talk about Tiger’s return

We’ve waited months for Tiger Woods to make his return to golf, now he’s back. Woods teed off earlier this afternoon at the Masters in Augusta, GA. This is the first time Woods has played golf competitively since that infamous night in November that revealed his secret sex life.

We talked with several local golfers to see what they thought of Tiger-gate.

“I think his personal life should be personal,” said Veronica McLaurin-Brown, as she played a round at Echo Farms Golf Club. “I think the reason why I’m going to the Masters and everyone is going is ’cause they’re concerned with him as a golfer, and I would hope that we can allow him to be a golfer but also allow he and his wife to have the privacy of their lives.”

Every golfer we spoke with said the same thing: people should be worried about Tiger’s golf game and not his personal life.
