Local PTA sends help to Nashville flooding victims
It’s been over two weeks since the devastating flooding rains destroyed homes and communities surrounding Nashville, but help is on its way from Wilmington.
The Ogden PTA organized a collection drive to gather food and basic living supplies to send to an elementary school in Harpeth Valley, Tennessee.
The event was organized by Ralph Roithner, whose family moved from that area to Ogden only three years ago. He says his former neighbors really need the help.
“I just wanted to mount a targeted effort to our community from the Ogden community to the Harpeth Valley community,” says Roithner. “Just to make sure that those people do get the help.”
If you weren’t able to attend the collection drive on Saturday, you can still donate to the relief effort. Ralph and Elisha will be accepting donations up until they leave for Nashville on Thursday.
