Local youngsters celebrate fall
Class turned spooky today for students at New Hanover County’s Pre-K Center.
Students and teachers got a chance to go through a scary maze as part of a celebration of Halloween and the fall season. The classroom was turned into an obstacle course with stations set up, to help children use their five senses in honor of Disability Awareness Month.
“They experienced different stations using their five senses and in the classroom they talked about some of us have limited mobility we have certain disabilities maybe we don’t have sight all of us don’t have sight some of us are in wheelchairs so they tie that in to connect it to the disabilities month,” said Principal Tim Dowinowski.
This is the third year they’ve held their spooky classroom event.
