Log falls off truck, impales travel trailer being towed by truck

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A large log broke free from the bed of an 18-wheeler and impaled a travel trailer that was being towed by a truck.

Wilmington Police say it happened around 10:00 a.m. at Shipyard Boulevard and Carolina Beach Road.

The log crashed through the travel trailer and was left sticking out the other side.

No one got hurt.

No word yet on whether the driver of the log truck received a citation.
