Longtime Wilmington chef to open his own restaurant
WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — Brent Williams knows his competition better than most. He should — he’s spent the better part of the past three decades in their kitchens.
“I’ve worked within a quarter mile of here since 1987,” the longtime area chef said from the site of his new restaurant, Brent’s Bistro, at 7110 Wrightsville Ave.
The Johnson and Wales culinary grad most recently served as a chef at Sweet N Savory Cafe, with significant time spent behind the stove at Jerry’s Food, Wine and Spirits and David’s Deli. All three are a quick walk from his new front door in the former home of Shukai Thai and Sushi Bar, which closed last month.
