Love Grove neighborhood asks City Council for second access

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A former City Councilman spoke before Council Tuesday evening about a second access into the Love Grove neighborhood.

Ronald Sparks, an engineer, is asking for a second access to the area. Ronald presented a petition with 900 signatures to the City Council.

He says the need for the second access became very apparent after a train derailed last summer and blocked access in and out of the neighborhood for a while.

The City Council says they are already investigating the issue and will re-visit it once they receive more information.
