Luncheon featuring celebrity chef moved to larger venue
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– The luncheon this month featuring celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse is moving to a larger venue.
Because there was so much demand for tickets, organizers said they had to move the Jan. 29 event to the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington. Originally, organizers said the luncheon was going to be at Pembroke’s in the Forum for 200. Organizers said they added 100 seats to now accommodate 300 seats at the Country Club of Landfall. The tickets are still $200 each.
Lagasse will also host an event on Jan. 28 at a private home for up 30 guests. Tickets for that event are $10,000 per couple.
The events both benefit the non-profit foundation supporting the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington. It is set to open in August, and will be the first all-girls charter school in the Port City.
