Man arrested for attempted first degree murder
WILMINGTON, NC, (WWAY) — Wilmington Police arrested a man accused of shooting into an occupied home last month.
Tyzheem Kwazhon Nixon is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.
Police say on Sept. 27 Nixon was allegedly involved in a shooting where several shotgun rounds were fired into a home at 1020 S. 7th St. Two people were inside. Both people were injured in the shooting.
Police say this case was one of a chain of events that erupted throughout the city in a short period of time.
