Man arrested for Tabor City murder

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — Police arrested a man wanted for a shooting in broad daylight in Tabor City. Tabor City Police Chief Donald Dowless says Albert Henry, 34, is in custody and charged with second degree murder. Henry was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with the help of the SBI.

Police say a fight led to the shooting death of Chad Bellamy. It happened at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Bay Street.

Henry is being held on a $1,170,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday. The investigation is ongoing.
