Man arrested in connection to weekend shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have arrested the man they believe was responsible to a shooting over the weekend that left a man injured.

WPD arrested Jazarion Vaughn, 19, Tuesday.

The shooting happened on South 13th Street Saturday afternoon. A 34-year-old man was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Vaughn is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and shooting into an occupied residence.
