Man arrested over alleged relationship with teen

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -A 21-year-old Wilmington man is charged with statutory rape of a child.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s says they arrested Jonah Matthew Shope this morning.

Investigators say he had a relationship with a 15-year-old.

He’s also charged with indecent liberties with a child. His bond is set at $20,000.
