Man charged with 2nd DWI this year after car hits building

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police were dispatched to Wrightsville Ave. last night where a vehicle crashed into an office building.

William Tyler Byrd is charged with DWI, reckless driving and driving on a revoked license. It was his second DWI arrest already this year.

Byrd was treated for minor injuries and given a $1,000 bond. Police seized his vehicle.
