Man charged after 700 bags of heroin, guns found
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies said a Wilmington man is facing charges after a 18-week-long drug investigation.
They said the investigation ended yesterday when a task force consisting of New Hanover and Brunswick County deputies conducted a traffic stop on Castle Street. Deputies said they pulled over Reginald Sharif Albert, 33, aka “Two” and found 500 bags of heroin in the vehicle.
Deputies said when they searched Albert’s home in the Houston Moore Apartment Complex and a home in the 600-block of Wright Street, they found 200 bags of heroin, 11 grams of raw heroin, four rifles and two handguns.
Albert is facing charges including trafficking heroin and possession of a stolen firearm. He was booked in jail under no bond. Deputies said more charges are pending in the case.
