Man charged in Pender convenience store shooting

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office have charged a man in connection with a Maple Hill shooting.

The shooting happened last month at Lanier Grocery on NC 50. Two men were shot but suffered non-life threatening injuries. Deputies believe the incident stemmed from an argument over a woman one of the victims was dating.

Deputies said Terry Lee Branch Jr. is facing charges including two counts of attempted murder. He was booked in jail under a $1 million bond.
