Man charged in sex trafficking investigation
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office charged a man in a sex trafficking investigation.
Deputies said Roderick Boykins, 36, is facing charges including human trafficking, sexual servitude, and promoting prostitution for profits.
According to the arrest warrant, the dates of offense range from November 2014 to February 2015. According to the StarNews, Boykins was arrested in Charlotte February 19 and has since been transferred to the New Hanover County jail.
Boykins is in the jail under a $750,000 bond. He’s due in court March 19.
