Man charged in weekend shooting, separate sex assault


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police said a man is facing charges in two incidents that happened two weekends ago.

A WPD spokeswoman said a person was shot in his or her home around 10 a.m. on January 16 in the 5100-block of Lamppost Circle. Police said the person suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

According to jail records, Foster Kelly Henry, 40, was arrested yesterday on charges including assault with a deadly weapon and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Police said Henry is also facing a first and second degree rape charge for another incident that happened that day. The two crimes are not considered connected, police said.

Henry is in jail under a $950,000 bond.
