Man charged with stabbing after argument in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police say a man is charged in connection to a stabbing after an argument Wednesday night.

Police responded around 10:40 p.m. to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in reference to a 20-year-old man who had been taken there with non-life threatening stab wounds.

Officers arrived and found out that he had been in a verbal argument with Jourdan Bethea, 23, when Bethea reportedly stabbed him. The altercation happened in the 200 block of Marlboro Street.

Bethea is charged with Assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury and is being held under a $75,000 secured bond.
