Man charged with string of Magnolia Greens break-ins


LELAND, NC (WWAY) — A Leland man faces several charges relating to a string of break-ins in the Magnolia Greens community.

Leland Police say Jeremy Grainger, 29, is charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larcenies, larceny of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police say the charges stem from break-ins in recent weeks.

Detectives say many of the vehicles were unlocked when the crimes happened.

Graiger is in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $1.25 million bond.

Police say the case is still under investigation. Additional charges are expected.  Detectives ask residents to remember to take in their belongings and to secure their vehicles.
