Man facing prostitution, human trafficking charges
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man is behind bars in New Hanover County, facing prostitution and human trafficking charges.
Jail records show Rodger Williams Jr., 45, is charged with 2 counts of prostitution, 1 count of servitude and 1 count of human trafficking. A spokesman with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said the arrest happened early this morning after they stopped a man leaving a local hotel who admitted he paid a woman for sex. Deputies said they then went back to that hotel and arrested Williams.
Williams is in jail under a $2 million bond.
