Man flips car, charged with DWI

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police charged a man in connection with a rollover crash.

Police say the crash happened Saturday night around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 3rd and Mears streets. When officers responded, they found a vehicle on fire after the rollover.

The driver of that car, John Johnson, is facing charges including DWI. He was released from jail on a $1,500 secured bond.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
